When do rates change?

The annual fiscal-year table generally takes effect October 1. Temporary legislation and emergency supplements can change other periods.

Do Alaska and Hawaii have different maximums?

Yes. Hawaii has a separate table; Alaska has urban, rural 1 and rural 2 amounts.
